How Sequences work in MailMoo

What is a Sequence?

A sequence is an automated multi-step outreach workflow that engages your leads across LinkedIn and email. You design it once, and MailMoo executes it automatically for each lead in your campaign.


How It Works

  1. Create a campaign and add your leads

  2. Design your sequence using the visual flowchart builder

  3. Assign senders (Sales team profiles with LinkedIn/email accounts)

  4. Activate and MailMoo handles the rest.

MailMoo will run sequence steps every 10-15 minutes during your sequence's sending schedule hours.


Examples of available seqeunce steps

LinkedIn Actions

  • Connection Request – with or without a personalized note

  • Send Message – text, video, or voice messages

  • Send InMail – reach leads you're not connected with

  • React to Post – like their recent content

  • Visit Profile – show up in their notifications

Email Actions

  • Send Email – automated email outreach

Conditions (Branching)

  • Is Connected – branch based on connection status

  • Has Opened Message – check if they read your message

  • Has Replied – check for responses

Utilities

  • Wait – pause for hours or days between steps

  • Update Tag – automatically categorize leads


Personalization

Use variables like {{ FirstName }}, {{ CompanyName }}, or {{ JobTitle }} to personalize every message. You can also attach personalized videos, slides, or voice messages.


Scheduling & Limits

  • Set active hours for each day of the week (e.g., Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

  • Daily limits protect your accounts from being flagged

  • MailMoo respects LinkedIn's limits based on your account type (Free vs Premium/Sales Navigator)


Lead Progression

Each lead moves through these states:

Status

Meaning

Not Started

Queued but hasn't entered the sequence

In Progress

Actively moving through steps

Completed

Reached the end of the sequence or lead has replied to a message

Paused

Manually paused

Error/Failed

An error stopped progression (MailMoo will try again 24h later if possible)


Quick Tips

  • Space out your message steps – wait 2-3 days between follow-ups

  • Use conditions – branch based on whether a lead is connected

  • Start with engagement – visit profiles or react to posts before connecting

  • Monitor progress – check which steps perform best and iterate


Templates

Get started quickly with built-in templates:

  • Basic Outreach – connection request + follow-up messages

  • Outreach with InMail Fallback – InMail if they don't accept your request

  • Advanced Multi-Touch – profile visits, reactions, and multiple follow-ups
